PRESENTATION FOR OUTGOING/INCOMING LACPCA PRESIDENCY

Ordinance No. C-7594 provides that hearings shall be set for 5:00 P.M. each Tuesday, and such hearings shall be held at the specified time for which they are set or as soon as practical regardless of the otherwise order of business of the City Council.

HEARINGS:

1. 14-0003 Recommendation to receive the supporting documentation into the record, conclude the public hearing, and adopt resolution approving the 2013-2021 Housing Element as part of the City's General Plan, and authorize its submittal to the State Department of Housing and Community Development;

14-0008 Adopt resolution directing the Director of Development Services to submit the 2013-2021 Housing Element to the California Coastal Commission for their certification; and Certify the Negative Declaration ND 03-13. (Citywide)

2. 14-0004 Recommendation to receive the supporting documentation into the record, conclude the public hearing, and declare the Ordinance amending the Zoning Regulations of the Long Beach Municipal Code, Title 21, relating to the regulation of billboards (off-site advertising) read for the first time and laid over to the next regular meeting of the City Council for final reading;

14-0009 Adopt resolution directing the Director of Development Services to submit the Ordinance amendments to the California Coastal Commission for a finding of conformance with the Certified Local Coastal Program; and Accept the Categorical Exemption CE-13-118. (Citywide)

3. 14-0005 Recommendation to approve the minutes for the City Council meetings of Tuesday, December 10 and 17, 2013.

4. 14-0006 Recommendation to refer to City Attorney damage claims received between December 9, 2013 and December 30, 2013.

5. 14-0007 Recommendation to approve the destruction of records for City Clerk Department, as shown in Exhibit A: and adopt resolution.

6. 14-0010 Recommendation to authorize City Manager to execute a contract with Smith, Jason Addison Consulting Services, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $150,000 for temporary staffing services. (Citywide)

7. 14-0011 Recommendation to authorize City Manger to execute a right-of-entry permit and any related documents with the Metropolitan Water District to allow the District to enter El Dorado Regional Park for a water pipeline inspection and repair project from February 3, 2014 through July 1, 2014. (District 5)
