NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC
CONSENT CALENDAR:
1. (20-0767) Recommendation to suspend Council rule contained in Long Beach Municipal Code 2.03.020 (B) to cancel the meeting of September 22, 2020.
2. (20-0768) Recommendation to receive and file the Quarterly Report of Cash and Investments for the quarter ending September 30, 2019.
3. (20-0769) Recommendation to refer to City Attorney damage claims received between August 3, 2020 and August 10, 2020.
4. (20-0770) Recommendation to authorize City Manager, or designee, to execute a contract and all necessary amendments, including term extensions, with the County of Los Angeles to receive and expend Department of Homeland Security grant funding, for the 2019 Emergency Management Performance Grant, in an amount not to exceed $78,170, for a period ending June 30, 2021; and Increase appropriations in the General Grants Fund Group in the Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Communications Department by $78,170 offset by grant revenue. (Citywide)
5. (20-0771) Recommendation to authorize City Manager, or designee, to execute all documents necessary for the Second Amendment to License Agreement No. 32052 with Los Cerritos Wetlands Authority, a California Joint Powers Authority, to allow for continued access over and through City-owned property located at Second Street and Shopkeeper Road. (District 3)
6. (20-0772) Recommendation to authorize City Manager, or designee, to execute all necessary documents to enter into a contract, including any necessary amendments, with the State of California, Employment Development Department (EDD), to accept and expend Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funds in the amount of $4,942,089; and Authorize City Manager, or designee, to execute all necessary agreements with WIOA training vendors. (Citywide)
7. (20-0773) WITHDRAWN Recommendation to authorize City Manager, or designee, to execute all documents necessary to amend Contract No. 34107 with Parsons Constructors, Inc., of Pasadena, CA, for providing professional Project Labor Agreement (PLA) administration services, to extend the contract to October 31, 2022. (Citywide)
8. (20-0774) Recommendation to adopt Specifications No. ITB FS20-053 and award a contract to FFBH Motors, LLC, dba Frontier Ford, of Santa Clara, CA, for furnishing and delivering two CNG-fueled Ford F-450 Stencil trucks, for a total contract amount not to exceed $378,734, inclusive of taxes and fees; and, authorize City Manager, or designee, to execute all documents necessary to enter into the contract, including any necessary amendments. 9. (20-0775) Recommendation to adopt Specifications No. ITB FS20-039 and award a contract to Courtesy Chevrolet Center, LLC, of San Diego, CA, for furnishing and delivering two Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD trucks, for a total contract amount not to exceed $372,327, inclusive of taxes and fees; and, authorize City Manager, or designee, to execute all documents necessary to enter into the contract, including any necessary amendments. 10. (20-0776) Recommendation to adopt resolution authorizing City Manager, or designee, to execute a contract with Galls, LLC, of Lexington, KY, for furnishing and delivering fire uniforms, on the same terms and conditions afforded to the Orange County Fire Authority, in an annual amount of $500,000, with a 10 percent contingency of $50,000, for a total annual amount not to exceed $550,000, until the Orange County Fire Authority contract expires on October 2, 2022, with the option to renew for as long as the Orange County Fire Authority contract is in effect, at the discretion of the City Manager. (Citywide)
11. (20-0777) Recommendation to authorize City Manager, or designee, to execute an agreement, and any subsequent amendments, including any amendments to the amount of the award, with the County of Los Angeles for the Nurse Family Partnership Program, to accept and expend grant funding in an annual amount not to exceed $148,853, for the period of July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2022, with the option to renew for four additional one-year periods, at the discretion of the City Manager; and Increase appropriations in the Health Fund Group in Health and Human Services Department by $148,853, offset by grant revenue. (Citywide)
